Rookgaard has seen remarkable developments and challenges recently, shaping the island into a hub of opportunity, danger, and competition. Here’s a recap of the most notable changes:

The Plague and Zirella's Redemption

With the arrival of newcomers, a mysterious plague has swept through the island, leaving many citizens quarantined. Zirella, rejuvenated by Hyacinth’s Elixir of Youth, now dedicates herself to helping the sick and seeks assistance gathering herbs and mushrooms to repay Hyacinth’s life-saving intervention. Citizens aiding the sick can unlock the Afflicted Outfit, complete with a plague bell and doctor beak addons.

A new swamp troll lair beneath the swamps holds a treasure trove of rare herbs essential for crafting potions and advancing this noble cause.

Community Island Expansion

Ladybug Jeronimo opened a self-checkout store on the Community Island, shaking up the local economy with competitive pricing and convenience, much to the dismay of traditional shopkeepers.

Jeronimo and Frosch offer loyalty stickers for rare food deliveries, redeemable for ladybug and frog mounts and backpacks.

Carlos, intrigued by these stickers, trades them for rare foods, but at a lower ratio, making it a clever exchange opportunity.

Houses with gardens were built on the island to meet rising farmer demands, although goblin sawmill workers have become a concerning presence at its edge. Thankfully, Trathos guards the area.

A Dwarven Powder Keg

The Dwarven Mine has descended into chaos, now a PvP battleground rife with greed and hostility. With no skull system or death penalties, combatants are teleported to the temple upon defeat.

Mendog, the dwarven barkeeper, thrives amid the turmoil, riling up both humans and dwarves while selling his Berserk Potions to fuel uprisings.

Crafting and Businesses

Obi’s Workshop: Adventurers can now fletch bows and arrows. Obi also crafts the warrior sword addon for those bringing him the elusive royal steel.

Norma has closed her bar and opened a furniture store instead. She needs a lot of wood, nails, chicken feathers and dyes from the citizens to make her dream of colorful and cozy Rookgaard homes come true.

Lily’s Lottery: To keep up with Jeronimo’s innovations, Lily offers a lottery where empty potion flasks can win the summoner flask addon.

Horatio and Carlos are willing to reward the most industrious and noble citizens with nobleman addons they proudly wear. Not only the citizens must prove their status first - the ludicrous price still applies.

Santa Claus will visit Rookgaard for the first time in years! His automated analysis of citizens’ deeds determines who’s been naughty or nice, raising the stakes for the holiday season.

Discoveries and Mysteries

Bobby and Robby, the expedition members, employees of Horatio, maintain newly discovered locations open, and gossip mockingly about their boss.

The Minotaur Living Quarters within the Minotaur Loop offer a glimpse into their lives.

A symmetric crypt beneath the cemetery, adorned with colorful furniture, leads to deeper temples and catacombs filled with worms, bugs, and the undead for those who are not afraid to venture deep.
The Bear Cave, larger than once believed, harbors underground groves with moss-covered stones, perfect for crafting dyes.
